Vandalized statue and thoughts about the football world cup

Vandalized statue and thoughts about the football world cup

Hello! A while ago, here at the blog, I revealed that I cheers on two football teams. It felt hard to tell because it is a bit controversial to cheer on two teams. But it went well, you readers are so kind. However, the football world can be tough. I recently read about what happened to Zlatan Ibrahimovic when he became a partner of Hammarby, a football club that is a rival to the football club Malmoe where he started his career. When e became a partner of Hammarby the statue of Zlatan Ibrahimovic that was placed in his hometown Read more »

Easter is on it’s way – playing casino slots & egg painting

Easter is on it’s way – playing casino slots & egg painting

Easter is coming closer and closer and I am starting to get a little stressed out. I have promised a friend to paint an easter egg that she will fill with candy and give away to someone special. I am used to paint on plain canvas, so this is a real challenge for me. But I haven’t given up yet. Hopefully I will get used to the eggshaped underlay and paint a fine easter egg. Before I started the project I did some research to get inspiration. It was really fun to see how the appearance of easter eggs differed Read more »

It’s springtime again

It’s springtime again

It’s spring, it’s sunny and I love it! It’s the best time of the year. Everything is brought to life again. The trees, the grass, the flowers sprouts and the air is filled with scents. I am not the only one who loves this season. Many good writers have written beutiful poems that paints the spring in words. Unfortunately I don’t have the gift of the word. I wish I had, but I don’t. But I’ am not so sorry about it, I got the talent to paint instead and I am grateful for it every day. Speaking about poetry. Read more »

I love my job! I also love football and betting

I love my job! I also love football and betting

I’m finished! I have completed the portraits of the bassets that I recently told you about. I’m pretty happy with the result and it will be fun delivering the canvas to the dog owner and see what she thinks. It’s always a bit nervous to show a painting to a client, but it’s also one of the best things with the job because it feels so good when the customer is satisfied. But of course, sometimes it happens that a customer isn’t really pleased, and that doesn’t feel good. In those moments I use to think that I at least Read more »

I am back – talking about artistic slot machines

I have been away for a while. Life happened and I lost inspiration in blogging. But now I am back, more eager than ever to put my everyday life down into words. Now some of you might think it was something extra ordinary that happened in my life that made me stop blogging. But no, it was nothing drastic at all. I took a new job that eat up much of my time, and that’s all. Now the job is finished and I have more time again. And some of that time I want to spend blogging about my living Read more »

Mastering the camera

Mastering the camera

As I said before, I’ve quite recently started to enjoy the art of photographing. It’s simply a wonderful way of capturing the beauty and feel of something very quickly in one shot. It’s a bit different from painting, since you have to be in the exact same place to take the picture, and all you have to work with needs to be there. With my painting, I can be home and still capture magic from a photo, but without the need of being there. It’s also a huge difference in equipment and hardware. A good painter can produce nice pictures Read more »

Upcoming projects

Upcoming projects

I’ve recently gotten a bit more energy than usual, it must be thanks to the weather. It does not happen that often and I appreciate once it does. A little extra boost is always welcomed and it makes cleaning the house a bit easier, don’t you think? I figured I could use some of it to boost my imagination as well. I’ve not had too many projects with paintings now for a while, and I’ve also been a bit lazy and not done anything myself. Maybe I need this boost to start painting a bit more, and reaching out Read more »

Why I love to paint

Why I love to paint

I started painting before I even knew what is was. I was given a crayon and some paper and I had a great time, I’ve been told. Since then I have not stopped doing it, and I have developed my skils all through the years. What started as a crayon and some paper in a toddler’s hand is now a business and what I love to do! As I said in my post about horses, I loved painting them as a little girl. I also painted my dogs more times than I can count. Through the years I have also Read more »

Me and my dogs

Me and my dogs

Tomtom is my latest darling among all the dogs I’ve had though my life. So far, I’ve had six dogs and Tomtom is numer seven. They have been small, they have been big. Two things are certain – I have painted them all, and they will forever be in my heart! I grew up having dogs, although I can’t remember them all by name. However, I remember the two dogs my family had when I was just a little toddler. It was one big Bernese mountain dog, you know a huge drooling and furry giant. It was extremely friendly though, and Read more »

The story about me and horses

The story about me and horses

Through all years I’ve been fascinated by horses. when I was a little girl I would ride them, pet them, join them in their pasture and of course paint and draw them. I would always write about horses when I had a writing assignment, only so I could draw a horse to attach in the story. Later on, I got my very first horse to own myself. It was a little bit larger pony that fit me perfectly in size. We would practise both fence jumping as well as dressage and we even competed in lower classes. I remember when Read more »
